A group of cycling fundraisers of PROJECT FUTURES from Australia led by Ms Stephanie Lorenzo and Somaly Mam Foundation’ s Executive Director, Bill Livermore, accompanied by Somaly Mam, President of AFESIP Cambodia and Somaly Mam Foundation visited AFESIP Tomdy center on 6 July 2010. The purpose of the visit is to meet with the residents sharing their love and sympathy. Participated in the event were the team of survivors, Voices for Change, the well-known singers, OK Sokun Kanha and NOP Panharith from Hang Meas Production. The guests and the residents of the center shared views one another. The Project Futures group was divided into 3 sub-groups so that presentation about AFESIP project activities provided by AFESIP management staff could be done more detailed following the questions and answers.

After a late dinner, dances were organized among those participated. The residents at the moment were donated some gifts and received approval from PROJECT FUTURES for the amount of money requested for the purchase of 61 pairs of shoes, recommended by Som Sophatra, Admin HR & Communication Coordinator.

PROJECT FUTURES is a not-for-profit organisation with its vision to raise awareness  about human trafficking through its long-distant cycling campaign and fund other non-governmental organizations which run similar purpose. PROJECT FUTURES is currently partnered with Somaly Mam Foundation. They are young professionals who wish to supporting anti-trafficking cause, more importantly AFESIP Cambodia’s activities.
